Trudeau’s chronic failure to fill judicial vacancies

Trudeau’s chronic failure to fill judicial vacancies comes at the cost of victims and survivors of crime. Maintaining full judicial complements is critically important to ensuring public access to, and confidence in our justice system.

A well-functioning justice system is one that serves all Canadians, protects the vulnerable, and builds a safer and better Canada. It is especially important to include the voices of those most affected by the justice system – victims and survivors.

Canadians must have the assurance that their justice system will work for them and place the rights of victims ahead of those who commit these terrible offences.

The Liberals inability to do the most basic function of appointing judges, undermines Canadians confidence in our justice system.
