Trudeau has no plan for Trans Mountain

Today, Conservatives gave Trudeau’s Liberals another opportunity to outline his plan to get the Trans Mountain Expansion built and Canadians back to work at an emergency meeting of the Standing Committee of Indigenous and Northern Affairs. Justin Trudeau was given multiple chances in Edmonton to reassure Canadians, but instead, he chose to rely on empty rhetoric. And when it came to getting important questions answered at Natural Resources Committee, Trudeau forced his Liberal MPs to shut down a study of the government’s handling of the Trans Mountain Expansion.

Last week, the Federal Court of Appeal found that Justin Trudeau failed to consult indigenous peoples on the Trans Mountain Expansion and overturned his approval of the project.

When the Liberals announced that they were nationalizing the existing Trans Mountain pipeline, Canadians were told that their $4.5 billion would allow construction to begin immediately. The reality is that now taxpayers are the shareholders of this monstrous Liberal boondoggle and not one new centimetre of pipeline has been built.

Canadians deserve answers and a real plan!
