News Release: Congratulations to Bob Jeanneau, Recipient of the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Citizen Award.

Congratulations to Bob Jeanneau on receiving the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Citizen Award. Bob Jeanneau and The Knights of Columbus have a long history of charitable work in Saskatoon.  Bob, a former President of the Knights of Columbus Charities and through his dedication and enduring commitment identified the need for faith-based affordable housing for Seniors.  In 1995, the K.C. Charities purchased a 1.8 acre parcel of land from the City of Saskatoon and constructed a 62 suite seniors residence, named Columbian Manor.  An additional 16 units were added to the main building in 2000.  A third phase, the addition of Assisted-Living units began in 2005.  The Bob Jeanneau Assisted Living Centre was completed in 2007 and consists of 51 units.  The aim was to keep rental fees below market value.  In 2012, the $12.4 million Columbian Place was completed.  It is due to volunteers and visionaries like Bob, that Saskatoon is great community.  Thank you Bob for everything you have done for our community and our seniors!
