DECORATION DAY CEREMONY

June 2018

June 30, 2018

I had the opportunity to speak in the House on many different Bills. A full schedule with marathon all night voting sessions. My offices were hard at work sending letters to constituents with the help from MANY volunteers! Thanks, I've received great feedback from this mailout and I'm listening to what matters to you and your family. Many constituents visited Ottawa and I gave them a tour of our Parliament building. I held a community BBQ and enjoyed spending time with everyone. Glad to be home for summer. Call me if I can help you with any Federal related issue. Enjoy your summer!

CHINESE COMMUNITY MEETING IN SASKATOON

May 2018

May 31, 2018

I was able to spend some time at home this month and I met with many constituents and community leaders. I enjoy learning about the issues that are important to you. I was delighted to be asked to give some of the students of Inuglak School in Whale Cove a tour of Parliament. It was great fun to see the kids in Ottawa after just meeting them a few weeks ago at their school. Sadly, my colleague Gord Brown passed away. I was left with the feeling that if it can happen to a guy like Gord, it can happen to anyone. If you are going to be in Ottawa, call my office, I'd be happy to show you around!

YOUTH ADVISORY GROUP (2)

April 2018

April 30, 2018

It was with heavy hearts the month began with the tragedy of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. I grew up in Humboldt & my 1st job in broadcasting was as the play by play sportscaster for the Broncos games. I attended the vigil. It was heart-warming to see the outpouring of support from people everywhere. I had another meeting with my Youth Advisory Board. A enthusiastic group with many good ideas. I was honoured to speak at the Circle Drive Alliance Church celebrating Volunteer Appreciation. The Hindu community was so welcoming to me at their spiritual gathering!

JOHN ARNALUKJUAK HIGH SCHOOL-ARVIAT NUNAVUT

March 2018

March 31, 2018

I was invited by Senator Dennis Patterson to accompany him on part of his 25 community tour of Nunavut. It gave me alot more insight into the challenges faced by Canadians in the North. We met with civic leaders & visited schools in the communities. A marathon voting session 21 hours with 170+ votes in response to the Liberals refusal to let MP’s hear from Justin Trudeau’s Sr. Security Advisor about the PM’s trip to India and the Atwal affair. Back home in Saskatoon I enjoyed many community events.

BUDGET 2018 MEDIA SCRUM OUTSIDE SASKATCHEWAN LEGISLATURE

February 2018

February 28, 2018

I had opportunity to speak a few times in the House on important issues. I joined with the Vietnamese & Chinese communities as they celebrated the Lunar New Year. We witnessed the embarrassing spectacle of watching the PM parade his family around India dressed in costumes. We discovered that a convicted, Canadian, attempted murderer, was on the invitation list for a state dinner at the Canadian High Commission in India. A disappointing Budget 2018 and a missed opportunity for the Liberals. Trudeau is borrowing an additional $18 Billion, failing to balance the budget as promised!

CHIEF BOBBY CAMERON, FSIN

January 2018

January 31, 2018

It was great to spend most of January back home. I visited many schools with the CPAC floor map. A great tool to help our Youth learn about democracy in Canada. Thanks to my collegue Gerard Deltell, MP, Louis Saint-Laurent who joined me. Our 1st Youth Advisory Council meeting was a great success! A positive group of youth that are interested in politics and becoming empowered leaders within our community. Our Conservative Winter Caucus meeting was held in Victoria. We discussed our plans and priorities for our return to Parliament.

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE (3)

December 2017

December 31, 2017

It's great to be home for the Christmas break. Thanks everyone who came out to my Christmas Open House at the WDM! Wayne Choponis & John Shanks were the recipients of the Canada 150 Award. The Trudeau Liberals delivered disappointing results for Canadians in 2017. They were unable to tell the difference between legitimate tax cheats and hardworking mom & pop businesses trying to make a living; It’s been my priviledge to serve the Saskatoon-Grasswood constituents in 2017 and look forward to a busy 2018!

SASKATOON CHRISTIAN SCHOOL-BRING YOUR MP TO SCHOOL DAY

November 2017

November 30, 2017

I spoke in HOC & congratulated Prince Harry & Meghan Markle on their engagement. I paid tribute to members of the Football Hall of Fame inductees & I brought attention to the fact that our kids are not being educated on the legalization of cannabis. Another moving ceremony at SaskTel Centre on Remembrance Day. Diane Robson, Brian Towriss & Clarissa Bitternose are the recipients of the Canada 150 Award. We continue to put pressure on the Liberals for their mishandling of Finance file. $6 million in taxpayer money to build a rink on the front lawn of Parliament!

VOLODYMYR GROYSMAN PRIME MINISTER OF UKRAINE AT UKRAINIAN DAY ON PARLIAMENT HILL

October 2017

October 31, 2017

October was hectic in the HOC. We turned up the heat on the Liberals over their latest tax grabs to small businesses, how employees that are given employee discounts are taxed on them and the Liberals mishandling of the Finance file and Morneau's mishandling of his own assets. I was pleased to be able to recognize Lily Chin and Ron & Honya Olson as the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Award recipients. The opening of the Remai Modern showcased our first class gallery! Wrapping up with Ukrainian Day on the Hill and I was fortunate to meet Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman!
