March 2018

March 31, 2018

I was invited by Senator Dennis Patterson to accompany him on part of his 25 community tour of Nunavut. It gave me alot more insight into the challenges faced by Canadians in the North. We met with civic leaders & visited schools in the communities. A marathon voting session 21 hours with 170+ votes in response to the Liberals refusal to let MP’s hear from Justin Trudeau’s Sr. Security Advisor about the PM’s trip to India and the Atwal affair. Back home in Saskatoon I enjoyed many community events.

February 2018

February 28, 2018

I had opportunity to speak a few times in the House on important issues. I joined with the Vietnamese & Chinese communities as they celebrated the Lunar New Year. We witnessed the embarrassing spectacle of watching the PM parade his family around India dressed in costumes. We discovered that a convicted, Canadian, attempted murderer, was on the invitation list for a state dinner at the Canadian High Commission in India. A disappointing Budget 2018 and a missed opportunity for the Liberals. Trudeau is borrowing an additional $18 Billion, failing to balance the budget as promised!

January 2018

January 31, 2018

It was great to spend most of January back home. I visited many schools with the CPAC floor map. A great tool to help our Youth learn about democracy in Canada. Thanks to my collegue Gerard Deltell, MP, Louis Saint-Laurent who joined me. Our 1st Youth Advisory Council meeting was a great success! A positive group of youth that are interested in politics and becoming empowered leaders within our community. Our Conservative Winter Caucus meeting was held in Victoria. We discussed our plans and priorities for our return to Parliament.

December 2017

December 31, 2017

It's great to be home for the Christmas break. Thanks everyone who came out to my Christmas Open House at the WDM! Wayne Choponis & John Shanks were the recipients of the Canada 150 Award. The Trudeau Liberals delivered disappointing results for Canadians in 2017. They were unable to tell the difference between legitimate tax cheats and hardworking mom & pop businesses trying to make a living; It’s been my priviledge to serve the Saskatoon-Grasswood constituents in 2017 and look forward to a busy 2018!

November 2017

November 30, 2017

I spoke in HOC & congratulated Prince Harry & Meghan Markle on their engagement. I paid tribute to members of the Football Hall of Fame inductees & I brought attention to the fact that our kids are not being educated on the legalization of cannabis. Another moving ceremony at SaskTel Centre on Remembrance Day. Diane Robson, Brian Towriss & Clarissa Bitternose are the recipients of the Canada 150 Award. We continue to put pressure on the Liberals for their mishandling of Finance file. $6 million in taxpayer money to build a rink on the front lawn of Parliament!

October 2017

October 31, 2017

October was hectic in the HOC. We turned up the heat on the Liberals over their latest tax grabs to small businesses, how employees that are given employee discounts are taxed on them and the Liberals mishandling of the Finance file and Morneau's mishandling of his own assets. I was pleased to be able to recognize Lily Chin and Ron & Honya Olson as the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Award recipients. The opening of the Remai Modern showcased our first class gallery! Wrapping up with Ukrainian Day on the Hill and I was fortunate to meet Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman!

September 2017

September 30, 2017

It was great to get back to work in Ottawa! The month started in Winnipeg for our Fall caucus meetings. I have a new role this fall in the HOC, the Deputy Critic for the Indigenous and Northern Affairs Committee. I had the opportunity to visit the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s offices. I hosted a Passport Clinic & we helped hundreds with their applications. My first day back I gave an SO31 congratulating CPAC on 25 years of broadcasting excellence! Got back for the NSBA Tax Rally as concerned business owners rallied against Trudeau's unfair tax hikes! I'll fight these tax changes!

August 2017

August 31, 2017

What a great summer in Saskatoon! It started with the Ex and the parade to kick it off. I enjoyed handing out Canada 150 Flags & tatoos to the kids! Cathay Wagantall & Robert Kitchen joined me as we hosted a round table discussion at the Nutana Legion with Veterans. Congratulations Bruce Gordon & Dr. Jay Kalra, recipients of the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Award. I spent the month receiving phone calls & emails from concerned residents over Trudeau's so called "Fair Tax Plan" proposals. Many are outraged! I will work hard to be your voice in Ottawa and oppose these changes.

July 2017

July 31, 2017

The month was brought in with many Canada 150 Day celebrations! I enjoyed celebrating at Diefenbaker Park, Ahmadiyya Muslims at Dr. Gerhard Helberg Park and the Saskatoon Islamic Center. This month's recipients of the Canada 150 Award were Mervin Schneider and Hanan Elbardouh. I spent most of the month door knocking in the Eastview neighborhood as well as hosted a BBQ at Kistikan Park. A great turnout and everyone enjoyed a hot dog and the great weather! Two Canadian Citizenship ceremonies were held as well as many other community events. So much to see and do in Saskatoon!

June 2017

It was a busy month in Ottawa this month with the House extending sitting hours in an effort to get as much legislation through. I had the opportunity to address the House on C-46 (impaired driving). Ron Rivard and Kathryn Ford were the latest recipients of the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Award. It's great to be home in my constituency for the summer!
