Apply now for the House of Commons Page Program – Deadline December 3, 2018

Each year, 40 students graduating from high schools and CEGEPs are selected from across Canada to participate in the Page Program. Pages are undergraduate students who are registered as full-time students at one of the four universities in the National Capital Region. They work on a part-time basis during their first year of study.
In the Chamber and around Parliament Hill, Pages live and breathe the history and action of one of Canada’s oldest political institutions. They are responsible for a wide range of tasks directly related to Chamber activities, and have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of Parliament by playing a role in the rich traditions of the Canadian parliamentary system.
To qualify you must:
•be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident;
•be graduating from high school or CEGEP (with no academic interruptions) and starting full-time studies at one of the four universities in the National Capital Region in September of the year of employment as a Page;
•have obtained an overall academic average of at least 80% the previous year (Grade 11, or secondary IV, or your first year of CEGEP in Quebec), and subsequently maintain this average (transcripts to be provided); and
•be able to orally communicate fluently in both official languages, as evaluated by the House of Commons.
